How tag files generated by specific Application?

Hello,

I want to match specific files (pdf, xls,csv,xml) generated by specific application.

These files are reports, and I want to tag it and then match this tag in policy.

How to accomplish this?

And another question, can I run discovery scan on sharepoint and tag all document files?
