Virtual DLP Network Prevents on ESX

I have reviewed the Symantec Sizing & Performance guides, but wanted to get the input from our DLP community members and other Symantec/partner insight about how best to size virtual Web and Email Prevents.

Is it better to go "light and wide" (e.g. 8 vCPU / 32 GB RAM) versus "heavy and narrow" (e.g. 24 vCPU / 64 GB RAM)? What have other people observed/experienced when using VM Network Prevents...good, bad, & the ugly?
