latency issue by DLP

Some of the users reported that machines becomes unresponsive when they transfer large files like 100-150 MB to USB or HTTP. When they uninstall DLP agent from the machine, Transfering file will be quick no issues in performance. I know DLP scans everyfile and it slows down the processing of files but I wanted to know best practices to fix this issue. Please advise
